MACEDON, Koinon of Macedon. Gordian III. AD 238-244. Æ (26mm, 11.38 g, 12h). Games issue. Beroea mint. AV K M ANTNIOC (sic) ΓOPΔIANOC, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Two prize urns, containing palm frond, set upon agonistic table with decorated legs. Cf. Varbanov 3090 (for type); cf. CNG E-399, lot 391 (for obv. – same die); Naville 16, lot 116 (same dies). VF, green patina, some cleaning marks and minor roughness.
